Man wish they still made movies like this. 80's movies just seem to have a special kind of essence to them. Movies now days are great with the green screen effects and CGI and all, but just seem to be too modern and lack that magic soulful fantasy they once had back in the day. Maybe it's because we've pretty much seen it all and there is really now surprise anymore. Hmm.

@FVK5o2 Real make up, effects, plastic latex, etc. It truly is creepier. That part where the zombie is saying MaMa.. Is funny for obvious reasons. But who here wouldn't bust through a brick wall to get the heck away from that thing? Funny as it was, it also had a sense of creepiness to it. Sort of like the Spitting Image puppets. Look those up. Meant for comedic effect, but creepy as creepy can be! (The Reagan Puppet in Land Of Confusion was Spitting Image).

To be honest... this old monsters are much more "spookie" then this nowadays!

@GodsAvengR, Beautifully said!! Filmmakers of the 1960's, 70's, and 80's went out of their way to build their creatures and monsters from scratch, and that gave them a sense of realism and belivability. Nowadays, it's mostly computer images added to the screen.
Even though some CGIs look cool, most of them appear as obvious phoniness.

A scary movie where nobody survives, YESS!!
Was this 1986 or 1988? It's being sold on Amazon and the year says 1988. Region 2 only :( I wish SHOUT FACTORY would sell this. People should flood them with emails. They released a bunch of the cool B movies from Roger Corman, they need to keep it up with more GOOD B movies, and not the C movies that there were so many of.

@hootyhaha
Well it was released on home video here in early 1987, and its production date was 1986. Sometimes Amazon and the IMDb are wrong.
