I met Mr. Dyszel in 1974 when he was in his early "Captain 20" character..when he still had those ridiculous large fake ears... It was at some event at the old (now nonexistant) Springfield Fairlanes Bowling alley. My High School pep band (w/ me on da sax) played at that event. Mr. Dyszel was very friendly and polite!

For those of you interested, there is actually a documentary about the gentleman that played the role of Captain 20, who was the same man that was Bozo the Clown, and yet the same man that was Count Gore on Creature feature. The movie is called EVERY OTHER DAY IS HALLOWEEN

I was lucky enough to spend three glorious years in Alexandria, VA from 80-83. Channel 20 was a MAJOR part of my life...cartoons, lancelot link, and Captain 20. I would LOVE to see some of those public service announcements he did with the puppets...like then one about MANNERS...where one puppet grabs at a bowl fruit and is scolded by another for having puppets. The first puppet then says,"but I was just trying to sweep these ANTS away from the bowl!"
