The Girl Who Never Blinks

I was infatuated with the image of a girl(Kathy McCarty) in a music video(Glass Eye) and I asked my friend(Dick Price) to write a song about it. The thing that impressed me were the long takes with Kathy looking straight into the camera without blinking. I told Dick, "Write a song about a girl who never blinks". Dick is known for writing short funny songs and I expected the same. What I received two days later was very different. I didn't know what to do with it. It didn't fit with my original idea... Our friend Jack Holcomb kept saying that it needed to have a music video. So we made one. Someone knew how to get in touch with Kathy. She was patient and perfect.
