Moot Booxlé Presents Mega Man: Anachronism -
An album of music from the classic 8-Bit Mega Man video games...given funky new arrangements played on vintage 70's instruments!
Arranged, Performed, and Produced by Moot Booxlé.

Coming sometime in 2011...stay tuned to mootbooxle.com !

I just threw this little thing together playing "Heat Man" on my customized Rhodes Suitcase 73 with a Boss RC-20XL LoopStation into a vintage National Solid State FET guitar amp (with 2x8 cabinet), mic'ed with a Shure SM57.
There's an edit in this video - see if you can find it!

  • @Gnarkill2k6 you got it! I thought I was all smooth with the crossfade, but then I noticed it's more obvious in the 2nd camera (on the pedal). Good eye! I really could've stood to do another take of this whole thing...that's often the conundrum I face: quick and dirty vs. obsessively perfectionist. I usually go with the former :)

  • IT'S SO SLOPPY!

  • dude if you are going to do anything do Mega Man 2

  • @shawnio You know it!!! My original idea was to just do Mega Man 2, but decided to also include some stuff from 3 and 5. I think there are one or two other ones on my list, but it's mostly from MM2, MM3, and MM5. MM2 is my fav NES game of all time, and for my money, has the best music!

  • This put the biggest smile on my face. Phenomenal

  • @ChuOnWax I appreciate you very much Chu.

  • that was freeking cool as sh*t for someting just slapped together

  • @mootbooxle yep, quick and dirty is my style too when it comes to recording things at home... It gets hard when you're in a studio with limited time and everything needs to be tight. I find that very challenging!

Great work on A Robbery of Intellect, btw. I'm more of a rock and metal guy (I like the 80's stuff best) but I really like it! It just got something! :-)

  • @Gnarkill2k6 No need to be an ass about it.

  • I have my credit card ready man lol. can't wait! :D

  • Sounds like The Doors meets Megaman

  • Epic Win
