So, overall, he was a narcissistic clown who not only wasted his life and the lives of others with hallucinatory drugs, but even betrayed his fellow travelers to the man himself, the FBI. What a phoney.

I was very impressed with his story until he was going to put the people that helped him escape in jail for life. That is pretty low. It is also interesting that his ex hid until he was about to die. 22 years in hiding was she really that scared of him.

Leary was irresponsible and clearly did not think all the way through, his actions.I think he overestimated people's willingness to stand up and make a difference, and to rebel. Sure there was lots of that, but it never really was enough was it? I guess I'm saying Leary seemed to really rush into this whole mess and really let it get to his HEAD.
