  • Don't people realize there's a huge Irish community in Chicago??

  • he's definately hit the nail on the head with restoring Ireland's country houses

  • erin go brag

  • Woo! The definition of his wife is superb! He doesn't talk about it casually-which is something I hate but he draws from something real but seemingly like fantasy and from a need or want for that person. I think anyone close to us deserves that consideration. Honestly, he is one of the best examples of love/marriage I have seen yet. (Haven't been able to see into many great ones). =)

  • Erin gu brath! :-)

It doesn't take long to pick up cultural nuances on accents. I spent about six months in the south USA/Mexico (I'm not American) and when I came home, my parents looked at me like I grew a third head. I didn't even realise it and I know that happens quite commonly when you're absorbed in a culture for a straight period of time.

Would be the same as picking up a language when you're absorbed in a place that doesn't speak English.

  • irish parents, born in the us = irish american :)

  • i love his accent <3

  • I want to help clear up where his accent comes from. His parents moved from Ireland to Chicago before he was born. Living with his parents he got an irish accent, but also picked up some American accent growing up. He started irish dancing, but couldn't afford the lessons so he practiced at home & taught himself. & created the unquie steps he uses today. He travelled around the US & also to Ireland to compete. Hope that helps to clear it up a little. Am reading his book atm. He is so special

  • He's actually American! His parents are both Irish though!
