0-gauge wire: to cut, use hacksaw. perfect each time and you don't kill your hand. then, to strip, use an exacto knife to score all the way around, then slice straight through perpendicular to the first slice and the casing should just peel off around the wire

if you dont actaully have a 0 awg stripped, get a brand new razor blade and just cut it around carefully, and once its done, bend the top of the part where you cut it and see if there are little spots and just cut those..

Why not crimp then solder ? u would need less solder and have strong connection. Just an Idea.
