Affirmative Action is bullshit. It is for lazy black people who don't want to work as hard as white and asian people. Reparations is the same. Whining about the past and demanding money because you're lazy and don't like to work...that defines the black culture in America. Hopefully Obama will inspire at least a few blacks to stop complaining about the slavery and work hard to get ahead like the other minorities in this country.

Affrimative Action is terrible, maybe when John F Kendy formed it 50 FLIPPIN YEARS AGO it was needed or helpful (50 FREAKIN YEARS AGO, during segregation) but in 2009 you can't convince me that every black is "disadvantaged" because of the racist past, no i'm just not going to buy it.

I understand that it is used as enderament smart one but I also understand that is a stupid word to use as endearment given its history, and since it has two meaning and one of them sure as hell isn't endearment. There are plenty of words to express endearment in the english language besides "nigga" we don't need a word that means one thing when a white persons ays it and another thing when a black person says, thats ridiculous.

There was a post that she's very well spoken. Well she is for anyone. What sucks is the hypersensitive issue that to say a black person is well spoken is racist.

Recently I was fired by the actions of a racist black person. Doesn't do me any good to be angry about it. But your point that affirmative action is no longer needed, you are dead on about that. It's become counter productive.

you only speak from a watered down perspective from "his" version of the story, and you contradict yourself by saying "its not the 50 and 60's things are equal now, but then end by saying we as blacks have to work 4 or 5 times harder. It kills me how the people on the receiving end of privilege and benefits throughout the whole history of america, at the expense and oppression of african americans whine and complain about the laws put in place to attempt to make things right. It is so easy for whites to pass down judgment on blacks, but i guarantee without a shadow of a doubt, that if the roles and the history were completely reversed, whites would have the exact same problems. @Christina I get what you are trying to say but

I actually have been hurt by quotas, affirmative action(?), etc. It was perhaps tolerable (I ,at least tolerated it, right or wrong) for the first 10 years of my work life, but it has been a discriminatory force in my life for the last 25 years.

Discrimination has been a hurtful force, redistributing income and breaking dreams. Families are involved...innocent children.
