  • Lois & Clark is the best live action Superman that ever was. The characters were VERY well rendered. Yeah it had crappy FX and the non-orchestral music was casio-horrific but the character arcs were easily the best the mythos has ever seen save for maybe a HANDFUL of comics stories.

  • it was a good show especially because it was of it's time. it was never intended to be an action show. it was always intended to be a romantic comedy. which it was! I enjoyed it. and it touched much more things than that superman-at-puberty shit Smallville that everyone is dying for today. still, I respect Smallville for the guest appearances it had of chris reeve, margot kidder and dean cain.

  • @Razvan13manowar smallville beats lois and clark any day.

  • Which episode is this one from??

  • Wow his Asian face is really evident when he yells.

  • yipes...one of the worst youtube video evar

  • The fact is that L& C was a better Superman tv series than Smallville. Sorry, but Tom Welling's acting is flat in Smallville, as he was a former model, not actor, with very limited acting experience. The acting was much better in L& C, and as a couple, Dean & Teri played the most romantic & passionate Clark and Lois ever. They were truly attracted to each other & had the best chemistry of any of the Clarks & Loises. They carried the series. Tom Wellings portrayed Superboy, not Superman, right?

  • wow i never talk trash about L&C so please respect smallville

  • (CONT'D)

Cain in terms of the strength, athletic prowess and intellect, and Reeve from what I have seen and read in terms of the compassion, determination, and using his fame to help those that needed it. But in the end it's one person's opinion and everyone has their own ideas of what makes a 'Superman'

  • @camellane33

Well there I have to agree. When I was talking about the 'Superman' aspect, I was thinking more of what Reeve did outside of acting before and after his accident towards helping people, finding ways to help those with paralysis and political activism rather than his resume. . They both wore the costume, I know that both had respect towards each other given that both played the character and the things I heard Cain say about Reeve which I think they both share the title equally

  • So I can see why people consider Chris Reeves to be the modern iconic Superman. I can't argue with that. I just favor Dean Cain, because he was the most romantic Superman. Maybe most men favor Chris Reeves, while alot of women favor Dean Cain. The Lois & Clark series obviously drew alot of females into the Superman story.

  • @victorygreen I was just saying that Dean Cain was the most romantic Superman. In the Lois & Clark series, the romantic relationship between Superman & Lois was much more developed than in the film with Chris Reeves. Chris Reeves was a well trained actor at Julliard & Dean Cain had no formal training in acting. I think that Chris Reeves' resume in Hollywood was more substantial. He did more in Hollywood, but Dean Cain was a scholar & gifted athlete in real life, thus a real life Superman.
