i hope the broughtons got the royalties from nick cave 'for "lucy" 'n' shane macgowan for "christmas lullaby. two blatant rip-offs o' this masterpiece

The Broughton bunch....great band (for ten years) That third album, could've been their breakthrough, if not for that horrible tasteless carcass cover,which probably put many people off. On the other cut off hand..... commercial success was never on this band's agenda.
Which they might've regretted somewhat in later years.

Leonard Cohen was obviously listening to this when he was composing the numbers for Various Positions (1984). This bears a striking resemblance to 'Hallelujah'.
