A tribute to those lost in the Georgia war

After reading and viewing about the events of the Georgia war I decided to make a tribute video to those lost and displaced in this terrible conflict. Regardless of which side is at fault I think the loss of life and property is a shame and that we should work more towards world peace and diplomatic understanding.

The song used is Bad Balance's - Tiho Taiut Dni and yes I know the song is more about love/missing someone you loved in a relationship sense but it can also be applied to missing someone who has passed. If you find the music that at odds with the footage then I'll upload a re edited version. Also I think the song's somber musical composition fits with the footage.

Regardless I hope you enjoy the film and I send my best wishes to those affected on either side due to the conflict. May you find peace again in your lives.

Sadly however, this was was no in anyones interest. A stable and prosperous Georgia is in Russia's best interest (unless the aim is to conquer the whole of Georgia or S.Caucasus).

So there was no winner. Georgians lost their territory and people and their villages systematically burned.

Ossetians, will now become part of Russia. That means they can forget their dreams of freedom. No nation has ever prospered under Russian rule.

Russia is now feard and hated among most of the CIS countries.

Well I don´t think that the ordinary Russian soldiers were the worst. Not that I am excusing Russia´s actions. The worst were the Ossetian millitia, and supporting paramillitary groups. By worse i mean in terms of threat to civilians. The Russians did nothing to stop the ethnic clensing of the georgian population.

And that was the purpose of the operation. S.O was already de-facto anexed. The ethnic clensing was intended to ease the process of formally intergrating S.O. into Russia.

They were also notorious for raping german women in Berlin. It is all well documented. They had to hide when the solders went looking for them at night. Because most windows were broken, people could hear them scream, but in vain and helpless.

As for treating children, well yes it could be ture. I also know they did their best for liberated inmates at concentration camps.
