Still one of my favorites. This is the film I use to judge peoples taste in film. If they don't like Kafka, I simply file them away in the "Michael Bay" section.

I love this film and still have the LaserDisc! When is the Criterion Collection ever gonna give this film the treatment it deserves and release a bluray?

I'm trying to think if there is anything quite like it out there: a mix of Kafka's works and yet partially biographical. Can you upload the rest of it? Or can I find it anywhere? I haven't seen this movie since 1992.

Is there anyting more disturbing than the hysterically giggling man? I have read the trial and the metamorphosis and the penal colony, but I havent actually found a giggling minion in any of them. Of course they may be something in the castle, which I havent read, or maybe or Amerika or the short stories. However the image does seem very Kafkaesque and entirely fitting.
