The PC version of DS looks much better than the consoles, but you need a pretty strong system for it to get up to those detail levels. If you have a computer that can run it on the highest settings, i would recommend you buy that and play with the 360 controller for windows (or keyboard and mouse i guess...) check my video response.

the gameplay may be similar to Gears 1 but the graphics are definately better.

I meant PS3 was the lead platform in the development of Dead Space. They worked mainly on the PS3 then moved that over to the 360, apparantly devs say it makes better games for both platforms that way rather than the other way round. You do know the 360 is a year older than PS3 right? Meaning the first generation of games on ps3 are compared to 2nd generation on 360, so the ps3 still has a long way to go, i think the 360 has reached it's limit. Look at Gears 2 it looks just like Gears 1.

Yeah. I admit PS3 was ahead of the 360 when they both first released, with blu-ray vs. HD and all. But yes ps3 is still great, but i think the 360 is starting to pass it up, ps3 is staying at the same level, great graphics, decent gameplay, but not moving forward. 360 though is advancing so much faster, nearly flawless graphics, and oustanding gameplay, and i think better games too. But that's just my oppionion, we'll see which version of Dead Space is better when it's out and reviewed.

its a shame it didn't turn out as good as the ps3 version but then the ps3 was the lead platform
