Ginkgo biloba seed germination at the end of February 2008, about 13 days after putting the seeds in moist sand. Under favourable conditions a Ginkgo tree may live longer than 3,000 years. Will this filmed tree be on our planet in the year 5008?

is there any prep work (scarifying, stratifying)? or did you just up and sow them?

Do they have to be stratified before they will germinate?If so,how long?
