"Hey." I said softly. He looked up and gave me a small smile, going back to his guitar. I stood over by Demi, who was watching Nick fiddle around with a guitar too.
"You going onstage soon?" she asked. I nodded. She was a very nice, pretty girl. I still don't understand why Georgie hated her so much.
"You'll do amazing." She started, breaking her gaze from Nick to look over at me, a small smile on her face. "Nick always tells me about how beautiful your voice is. I can't wait to hear it tonight."
"Thank you." I muttered. From where we were, I could hear the crowd. Their screams gave me butterfly, but also pumped me. It was the weirdest feeling ever. You feel like your going to puke, yet your hearts racing at the speed of light and you just can't wait to get out there to run around and sing. It made you feel on top of everything, like you were "all that". I finally understood how some stars could just lose who they were and become divas. The fans just make you feel like you're amazing.
"Miss Conlan, 10 minutes." Some random stage help said as he zoomed past me. I nodded, even though he didn't see. I watched as Kevin put down his guitars and walked over to me, grabbing my hand.
"Want me to walk you to the stage?" he asked. I bit my lip and nodded. It was weird, but I had to have someone walk me to the side. If it wasn't Kevin, it was Nick. I normally made sure Joe didn't, just so I couldn't see him, but he'd done it once, and I must admit, he made me feel the safest. Kevin lightly squeezed my hand as he led me down the hall to the side. I could see all the instruments there, waiting for someone to come play them. Kevin peeked out the side, making sure he wasn't seen.
"The crowds big tonight." He said, looking over at me with his pretty hazel eyes. I smiled as he rubbed my shoulder, trying to calm my pounding heart. "You'll do amazing." He added. We stood there in silence as the crowd screamed and shouted to the top of their lungs. But really, the only thing I could hear was my heart. I felt this every time. It was like my stomach was going to explode and my heart was trying to fight its way through my chest. My ears went numb to the crowd and focused on my heart, as if to tell me to help it. Before I knew it, the band was playing my opening music and Kevin was giving me my good luck kiss.
"Knock 'em dead." He told me with a smile as I forced my feet to walk out onto the stage. I could feel my heart reaching its breaking point as the familiar tune of "I Don't Wanna Wait" began to play. I took a breath as my cue to sing went off.
"I don't wanna wait, I don't wanna wait, I don't wanna wait, I don't wanna wait.
I don't wanna wait for you."
Just like always, after the first line was said, my whole body seemed to relax. My heart went down to its normal rate, my sweaty, nervous hands seemed to dry up, and I lost the nauseous feeling. The stage was suddenly my new home, and I performed with ease.

As I sang the last word, I let out a silent breath. That song always got to me, which is exactly why I loved performing it.
"Thank you! Get ready for..." I stopped, a big smile on my face as I watched the crowd get ready to scream at the name of their main act. "The Jonas Brothers!" It sounded like the place had exploded at the name Jonas. Girls all around shouted at the top of their lungs, some of them making their faces deep red. I laughed as I ran off stage to where Demi was.
