If you are very familiar with Adamantoise's patterns, you can completely bypass Stage 2 if you want (this method being much faster) and aim for just a bit more HP to get to this stage. Also, you can use this method in lieu of the Stage 3 method if you are having trouble bumping up Fang's Strength high enough to Highwind the legs quickly (and don't have or want to spend the money and materials to upgrade a Tier 3 weapon).

Done with a Bladed Lance/Glaive to show the general irrelevance of weapons, but I do NOT recommend Taming Pole/Venus Gospel. Stagger Lock is an absolute no-no.

The only differences between this and Stage 3 in terms of protocol:
- Fang has Power Glove x2 instead of Sprint Shoes + Morale Talisman
- One turn of Espionage inserted at the start of battle to get Bravera + Haste on Fang.

Caveat:
- If he manages to get in his first stomp with the RIGHT leg before Fang can buff herself on the first turn, you may want to retry. This is because you'll be set to Highwind the right leg just as he raises it again, which is problematic.

UPDATE:
I recommend this Paradigm deck for easy navigation.

1. SYN/COM/RAV (Vanille as COM)
2. RAV/RAV/RAV
3. COM/MED/MED
4. SYN/SAB/SAB
5. RAV/RAV/RAV
6. COM/COM/SAB
Progression is 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 6. Simple, no?

  • How do you always get Fang to attack when it is dazed? I'm still doing stage 2 but goodness I can never get her to hit it when Snow has dazed it.

  • @spriddlez You have to pay attention to when Snow ends his turn, then wait until he starts again.

  • when I stagger the leg it does not have 400%+ stagger but 250% so my highwind does not kill it, even if I will give Fang maxed tier 3 weapon... is it different here than on those adamtouises in archanid stepe???

  • I am back to FF XIII after 1 year, someone recommended me to see those videos. I have maxed 3 main roles for chars and one additional so I am like 20k HP with Fang. I did not use earth resistance tho. I have 3 tier weapon with fang but it is fom taming pole, although I have glaive with star as well. now how do I get to this spot? as it looks like nice farmin place and I am chasing those in that big step place.

  • @AndyMcKeeFanForLife i just have beat Neochu, but strange,it was alone, without the minions. But i have beat him, without trigger the secret mission( what mission is anyway?). I have enter in the Titan trial and find him there. And now i'm on Attacus who just kick my ass in the first try. I have seen a new video how to beat him and i'm gonna give a try. And i have kill some big bosses with death spell, work great,,u just need some patience and some luck maybe.

  • @kanetidus Vanille can cast enough debuffs for this mission. It's extremely important to have a Sentinel and Medic present at all times, otherwise you may very well find yourself in worlds of trouble. So just keep using Auto-Hinder with Vanille and once you have about 3-4 debuffs going, start Death spamming. Note that this can take a while. Don't give up or retry. Just keep hitting it with Death. Eventually it will fall. But remember you have to deal with it minions afterwards. They fall to death

  • @AndyMcKeeFanForLife i have not try yet,but i want to know: if i have 2 level 5 saboteur in my party, do u think i can have an boost of success for Death spell or the debuff spells to keep longer? Thx.

  • @kanetidus Let me know if you finally pulled it off.

  • @AndyMcKeeFanForLife wow,thx for the replay, this is very useful,i'm gonna try right now.

  • @kanetidus Neochu is succeptible to Death. However, just like everything, it can take a while. Best suggestion is having a party of Vanille, Hope, and Snow. Have Vanille as a Saboteur, Hope as Medic, and Snow as Sentinel. Debuff Neochu as much as possible, then Death-spam it. But, here's a big thing to remember, even once Neochu goes down, you still have to deal with it's minions. They, too, are susceptible to Death. So spam a few of them, then switch to Delta Attack and finish them off.

  • oh shit u have the genji glove and growth egg!! I still have problems to get this items. I know that Neochu it's the boss for 1 of this items. Any ideea if i can kill Neochu with Death spell and 1 more thing: if i have 2 or 3 saboteur in my party , can i have a boost rate of succesion for Death?

  • @n3obuddha

Having multiple COMs out actually increases damage output (COM's special ability for just being it) plus Vanilles Ruin would do a good amount of damage.
