For those interested in the recent short film, "A Girl Like Me," here's a clip from a long-lost TV special where Bill Cosby reflects on another social experiment. In 1972, Mr. Cosby became a host of the PBS series THE ELECTRIC COMPANY and created FATALBERT AND THE COSBY KIDS. He would eventually earn a doctorate in education in 1977 from The University of Massachusetts.

  • @yourwhitemaster quick answer: the ruling class doesn't really need an organization to help them advance in a society they control. white history is american history, its what they teach the other 11 mths of the year. there are 435 seats in congress, the total # of blacks to ever serve in congress is 132..currently there are 44. do you really need help with everything?

  • @yourwhitemaster First white people own every damn thing. They own more things than blacks also every day is white history month. You get the best treatment in the country and its true. You should be glad us blacks don't riot and fuck shit up.

  • the last part made me feel bad inside and im not white or black, white people back then and in the political world are monsters its like there fueled by satan himself god forgive me for saying that name its just evil,no joke -_- (im puerto rican just saying)

  • I have always revered Dr. Cosby. He was my biggest role model when I was growing up. I'm white. Almost everyone I knew was white. I guess the race train never stopped in my town. Thank God! I'm even more impressed with people like him now that I've grown to understand what they endured. Labeling people and boxing them in is just a useless shame.

  • We can only hope that things get better as time goes on. Teach children values not based on skin but rather on character. So we as a country can grow and prosper.

  • Dear reelblack. This documentary is not lost! It is, "Black History: Lost, Stolen or Strayed?" and it can be bought on Amazon. For a nice adjunct to this special, read the book of the same name by Otto Lindemeyer.
