"No reason to get excited, folks." The walls of Jericho are crumbling, and all we wanna do is piss on each other's shoes. The reasons so many bands cover this tune (43 years young) are (1) even I can play the song, and (2) these are the absolutely best lyrics ever. Can any words scream at us more clearly?

Time to man the barricades!!

seriously? i mean come on jimi did an incredible version but with dave you have his sick playing, boyd tinsleys sick violin solo, leroi moore/tim reynolds sax/electric solo respectively. or jeff coffins sick solo or bela fleck's sick solo. they're all diff styles and all good. pearl jams version is good for them but if pearl jam tried dmb's or bob dylans it just wouldnt sound right.

Great and powerful version with Eddie's voice and McCready's killing solo!

Awesome song, it has been covered by many artists, including legends... That means that he guy who wrote it is beyond being a legend haha!
