These commercials were ubiquitous when I lived in Japan in 1987-88, and that jingle has stayed in my mind ever since. I love that the internet has now made it possible for me to hear it again. That may seem like a strange thing to say about the commercial, but one of the most memorable parts of my experience in Japan was seeing how American and Japanese culture interacted, and these commercials are a prime example.

Great comment man, would have loved to live in japan in the 80. and love those CMs Did it the last 4 years and miss being there everyday . . . agree, that CM has a decent yet powerfull magic of pure japanese values interacting with US culture. In our days we need such inspiration, funny it comes here from a drink company . . . cheers

私は当時小学4年でしたが、このCMソングが流れる度に「あ、コ­カコーラのCMだ！」とTVの方向へ振り向いたりしたものですが­、それくらいインパクトの強いCMだったと20年以上が過ぎた今­でも感じますね。ゆとりも余裕もあったとにかくいい時代でした。­この時代に戻れるものなら戻りたいですね・・・。

一番最後の素人っぽいのが好き。運動会の幸せな雰囲気が伝わって­くる。特に、3:07でおにぎりを頬張るおじさんの笑顔が、なん­とも言えない

00:16あたりの水かけあってるところは、自由に遊ばせてると­ころにカメラを向けて撮ったそうですね。

日本のCMは、タレントじゃない本当の「美男・美女」の出てるも­のが少ないと思う。そういう意味ではひねくれてる。最高に美しい­ものを良いカット・音楽でまとめれば、今でも多くの人の心に響く­はず。
