Police have identified a man who was killed Tuesday on Liberty Street. Delvin Pemberton, 29, got into van with two other men just north of the Clinton Street intersection and was gunned down moments later, police said. Pemberton's last known address is in the Town of Newburgh, but city cops have dealt with him both as a suspect and victim in crimes in the city's East End for years. On Tuesday, he was sitting in the van's backseat shortly after 7 p.m., when a gunman flung open the door and fired on him, police said. No one else was injured. Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy but believe Pemberton was shot three times and bled to death from a bullet hole in his leg. Police suspect the gunman fled in another car with a woman. He was still at large Wednesday
