please dont compare 50,s to westerns!! a wizzo could start a train that would stall a 50, there is no comparison..WR drivers were gutted when westerns were replaced with that crap, and rightly so, the 50,s reliability plummeted when faced with the continuous high power requirements handled by the westerns over the devon banks, diesel hydraulics shot up em, diesel electrics just burned out their traction motors...!!!

Their only downfall was they were Diesel Hydraulics and non standard but I had some great runs behind them the warships and the hymacs. Its a shame they were scrapped so soon and replaced with other regions trash.

That line doesnt just go to Exmouth.
Instead of branching off to Exmouth, the line goes off through Honiton, Axmister, etc etc, taking in the Southern Line to London
