Please note the wise teachings of this woman...But allow me to add this (the musings of one much less lettered than she,) that all races have qualities that are positive and wonderful and those that are destructive and savage. It is the nature of the beast. Everyone here on this giant rock can be traced from the first primitives that scratched out an existance. So what? What are you talking about when you say "agenda"? Look around you! Everything has revolved around the white man's legacy. I'm speaking a language that is foreign to the Austronesian people of whom I come from. Everything culturally different has to be compared to that of European ethnocentric standards. Look at the people's of Africa. They were displaced from their homes onto foreign lands. Look at my people, the white man forced the catholic religion into their throats. Talk about an agenda!

Hello. Good to hear from you. Just to be clear, as I understand it, George Washington is not a great American; is, in fact, the "enemy"? (Ow!) I won't even ask you what you think about Columbus! By the way, I believe that all African-Americans hate all White guys. Am I getting warm?

and No. I don't really fuck with George Washington. I mean he was admirable if you were a white american. But if you are not white. Then washington is nothing more than a big hypocrite. How can you liberate yourself from those whom you feel are oppressing you and then continue oppressing other peoples? That alone makes him an enemy. I can respect what he did and everything but he was a president for white citizens, not the rest of us.

and as far as nice things about whites? I would speak to the millions who protested the war in Vietnam, all of those who supported the black struggle in this country and worldwide. As far as accomplishments we know of many great artisans, inventors, politicians.  You have your Einstein's, Da Vinci's, Huey P. Long's. And Long? Oh he's a hero and like most real heroes and revolutionaries, he was assassinated.

White history month is totally unnecessary. I agree with TSquared, White accomplishments and contributions are celebrated daily and perpetuated in all aspects of life in America. Now what is really needed is simply a better teaching of history HOLISTICALLY. That would include contributions of all peoples of the world and in their proper contexts. Black History only exists because of its absence within American education and without the emphasis the history of blacks would be lost...

When is the last time any professor said anything positive about Columbus? Do you admire George Washington? Pretend there is a White History Month, and you are in charge of it. What nice things would you say about White people? Give me five good things White people ever did. Take your time.

You don't need to have a month.  White history is celebrated all year round w/o need of recognition.

Hello. The importance--nay!, the utter necessity--of a White History Month is that non-Whites would PUBLICLY recognize and honor and praise White contributions to this nation. And that I'd like to see.

And remember, please, that White guys are subject to affirmative action, that bizarre offshoot of anti-Semitism ("all White guys") mixed with a secular form of Original Sin (even White guys in the womb are evil).

At least you didn't insult my mother, and thanks for that!

Uh you may not notice this, but White History is something that's almost a given for celebration as it's celebrated all year long without the need of recognition.

And they may not teach it where you come from, but it sure is celebrated here. Holidays are a given. More of them for Whites than for brothas and sistas. Whites didn't have to really fight too hard to get them.
