The opening scenes before the song lyrics start are so evocatively drawn. Isn't it interesting imagination is okay for children, but if adults do it, society seems to have a problem with that? Screw em. Imagination forever.
'70s? Heck, when I first saw the opening shot, I was thinking '60s---just look at the design of this film. That look was all over the place then. Of course, since this is Sesame Street is has to be 1969 forward, but this particular style of design fascinates me because it remains so very utterly of its time.
Actually it was from 1970, according to an interview from the original composer and singer, Steve Zuckerman. Anyone have the original? It's amazing, and I don't even like singer-songwriter rock! Peace.
Yes, it was by Steve Zuckerman; It was his first composition for "Sesame Street." I too vastly prefer that version with those ill acoustic guitars. Peace.
