Life continued and went back to "normal" for everyone, everyone except me. I had to pretend the whole incident never occurred. My mother never even asked me not one question in regards to my outcry, not even "Are you ok?" I was left to deal with this all alone, just a child. My message is to anyone out there who is in a similar situation is this; DON'T DO WHAT I DID! REMAIN STRONG! TAKE CARE OF YOU, NOT ANYONE ELSE. THE TRUTH DOES SET YOU FREE!

I am a survivor of sexual abuse. I have no memory of my child hood prior to the 5th grade; the only memory I do have are the ones I wish I could wash away. I did report the abuse to my school counselor who in return called C.P.S. After discovering that my video taped interview was shown to my abuser and my mother I shut down. Approx 2wks later, I convinced everyone that I lied, that it didn't happen...all from fear. I didn't want my famliy to seperate.

"keep on blabbin until someone believes you"! When i was 'played with' i was already surrounded by adults who had no CLEAR TALK about sex stuff. So i was 'imitating' the 'spirit' of my examples when i said NOTHING. This is such an important comment. This is such an important GENERAL 'success' principle! FEAR OF REPRISALS and SHAME and FEAR OF SLANDER /REJECTION (fear-spirits) can be BLOCKED by LOVE and confident reminders of displays of Gods HUGE LOVE. You helped ME today a lot!! SPEAKout !
