I absolutely love it when a band is just as good if not better live. You don't see that as much anymore. And what a freakin good song! So happy sounding, yet really sad lyrics, that's too cool. A good friend of mine and I did a version of this ourselves because we like it so much. I play a bunch of instruments and she sings with me. And when he says "Don't listen to a word I say" hes warning her that hes turning on him and that he will lie and try to make your life horrible. When Jasmine wants him to dissapear (did I spell that right lol) its because she wants him to get out of her life but he wont leave. When hes gone away the house which was crumbling fell in on him and he died. Karma is the ending of this song for me.

My interpretation cause I see people doing this is this.

The girl (lets name her Jasmine) So Jasmine is in a relationship with this guy and in the begging the beat is upbeat so the relationship is going well then when she moves in with him the stairs creak means everything's crumbling. He continues to turn on her and the old voice is really the dead owners of the house which is cursed. When he says he misses our little talks it means that the relationship is turning so much they dont talk much.
