Too Fast for Frank. It should have been done slow and soulful like his rendition of Send in the Clowns.

@LeeFlowers92 I think the best version of this song is Joni's, but not her original version, but rather from her Both Sides now album released in 2000. That album is absolutely amazing!!!!!

Perhaps the one song that everyone can put their own imprint on and everybody walks away better for it! There is no one definitive version. Kudos to Frankie, Judy, Pete (Seeger), Al (Hirt), even Doris Day for chrissakes.....everyone who recorded this masterpiece!
