The Floyd decided one day in 68 to just not pick him up on the way to a recording session. They'd perform live promoting the Piper album and he'd just stop playing, dropping his arms to his side...starring. Gilmour had already been sitting in because of earlier episodes. Syd disengaged from the "Industry" not as a human...He was still recording in 74 and Gilmour produced 2 of his albums.

@stonersintuitions he never left the band! he was just mentally gone. they couldn't perform with him anymore, so they called his friend gilmour to replace him and after that he never played with them again.

Syd did not die after he left the band. He died in 2006.

And he has not left on his own, he was almost kicked out because of his brain completely burned by drugs.

its really really hard to find footage or audio from pink floyd in 1968 because the tour dident last that long in america and they dident play alot of songs they played some from the album but all they played was stuff from the first album i know they played it would be so nice ONCE and who ever has that bootleg is lucky
