@ShmittyShmit Actually, they explained it somewhere in the anime. Ugh... Wolves find paradise, and soon, a few wolves evolve into humans, humans ruin the world, and the remaining wolves search for a new paradise, and the cycle continues.

@ShmittyShmit I had thought an interpretation ... wolves have taken the trip convinced that the place material was Rakuen ...
In the last episode we see all the protagonists as human where everyone's walking in the street undisturbed when they are dead ... if you are reborn as human beings reaching this Rakuen (state of inner peace) but dont remember more than they once were wolves.
It was therefore necessary to die in order to achieve peace and live happily

I got the series on DVD and as i watched the last two episodes all I did was cry. I was the most betiful anime I have ever seen and I will never forget it.
