There was a time that I could receive CW at plus 21 words per minute! Today even with the super keyer Jer is able to limp along at around 15 words per minute!

Profound Radio History! Harry much in electronics would not be here today if it were not for Amateur Radio. Sad that they are making the licenses so easy to obtain. Lacking the knowledge could really stop the advances being made by this great hobby!

Go to the wikipedia page on Morse code, it's all there and you'll be on you're way in no time.

Hi Jer I didn't realise what the significance of k6tpl was until now - it is your call sign! I'm not an amateur radio nut per se but I do know that without amateur radio enthusiast Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr and her invention of spread spectrum we would not have broadband internet and you tube would be a dream in some sci-fi pulp novel. So good luck to all the amateur radio enthusiasts around the world who keep the spirit of Hedy Lamarr alive. Cheers for now, Harry (Ruff Ruff)
