Life with Lewy 2010

This film has been entered into the 2010 Neuro Film Festival from the American Academy of Neurology Foundation at www.neurofilmfestival.com. Let's put our brains together and support brain research. This movie is a short vesion of our trip across the United States to increase awareness of Lewy Body Dementia, a devastating disease that affected my husband, Bill. This movie was filmed as we lived it.

I'm caring for my mother in law with advanced LBD. Thank you for this film! We are trying to keep her home with us and involved in life and I'm going to get one of those cycles for her. I'm so sorry for what you went through but so glad you were able to make the best of a lousy situation. That is what we are trying to do and with the suffering there are moments of joy, still. When I see her smile and laugh or play with the dog or kids, even now, it makes it all worth while.

We really had a good year. There were so many times I didn't know if we would make it all the way across the US. But each time we were ready to move, Bill was ready. I would not trade that year for anything. I really feel that it gave Bill a sense of purpose. It truly was the adventure of a lifetime. Barbara

My grandpa just passed in February from what we think may be Lewy Body dementia... I really love this because he reminds me so much of my grandpa, who's name was ALSO Bill... And I saw that you guys were in Tybee, which is where we have a beach house.. And he could fix anything, and helped build and was part of a church as well... Your Bill has the same build and wears the same things as my grandpa did.... Thank you for this.

thankyou for this film. My Dad just past away on the 11th of March. I feel that his life was cut short not only by Lewy Body but by the wrong Medications he was given. He was able to walk and talk just 2 months ago and now he is dead.
