This is Toby. Toby was born at Ironwood Kennel in Michigan. Until this video he had never seen a coon hide before. We decided to see how good his instincts were when his family brought him over for a visit. See http://www.ironwoodkennel.com if interested in our dogs. We have redbone and english coonhounds

  • Lol

  • I used to love Golden Retrievers, still do really but if I ever get another dog it will be a Redbone Coonhound. A buddy had one and they are great dogs.

  • @thehillbillyscotsman I use a scope all the time. I have no problem shooting at night.

  • @zippycoolwhip If you see a raccoon in the daylight, yes... shoot it from the distance 'cause it may be rabid. (But coon hunting is the thrill of the chase and cool night air, and having fun in the woods with yer buddy.)

  • Full Cry!!!! (hearing that puppy sure brings back memories! Carbide lamp and a 22 carbine... That's pretty much a great saturday night!)

  • whats a redbone?

  • Those Redbones sure aint girlieman dogs.

  • @TheTopgun2015

my dog got off his leash he came back a couple of hours when he did he didnt even look like he went no where at all and yes i train him on coons

  • @zippycoolwhip no you cant see long range into trees with a scope at night and raccoons are nocturnal animals

  • What is the appeal of chasing raccoons up a tree with dogs? I'm not trying to start an argument, just seriously curious. What's the appeal? Can't raccoons just be shot at long range with a 223 like other varmint?
