Oriental Haze From the DVD "Shepherds Bush Empire"
Recorded Live at Shepherds Bush London in June 2005 available late 2006 on www.voiceprint.co.uk
Tangerine Dream are German-based purveyors of imaginative electronic music. There have been numerous line-ups since the band's formation in September1967, although Edgar Froese has remained at the head of affairs throughout. Edgar Froese put together Tangerine Dream. Tangerine Dream's impressive live reputation dates back to the early 70's.As their shows tended to be completely improvised. From these live improvisations produced several of the bands early successful albums "Zeit", "Ricochet". In 1977 the band released a double live album recorded in America on Richard Branson's fledgling Virgin label entitled "Encore".
The DVD is a great record of this most legendary band, with their unique sound and a fantastic stage light show.

Just sounds like the demo that comes on the 90's synths. Give me the science and space exploration TD music of old any day. Every artist loses it at a certain age it seems. Still, if they are having fun then everything is okay:)

The '70 were a great era for them, Optical Race, etc. But they continue to evolve. The use of "traditional" instruments just adds a new element to the music. I gotta believe that if he ever thought the band was stagnating, Froshe would just quit and go back to painting.

I agree TD have lost their way, Jerome is a very talented guitarist but his influence has been detrimental imo, and he is/was porking the sax player so's she's gotta get in on the action!

This is appalling. What give with the drummer and this bint with the saxophone? I can only conclude Jerome Froese is a fat dick. It's only since his inclusion that this plinky plonky cheese passes for Tang D. Bring back Bauman,Franke and Scmoelling
