Camaro SS vs CRX

Las Vegas Motor Speedway... me in my CRX (154whp, 124tq) coming up on a LS1-powered Camaro SS.

This video was made cause the Camaro driver accused me of dive-bombing him in a corner when he moved way off line. This was an advance run group where passing was open. The camaro driver was too inexperienced to be in that run group... but felt since he had the Ellis that it gave him a rite of passage to run with faster drivers.

twice the weight, but twice the horsepower, torque, tire (aka GRIP), and this was an advanced group... these drivers are suppose to be GOOD. And this isn't a video to say CRXs aren't better than Camaros... it's showing that, on average, Camaro drivers can't drive ;)

@jayadasm1982 Lol? V6 fbodys are garbage not to say they cant be fast and the V8 LS1 isnt a heavy motor at all barely heavier than the v6 a fully built v6 would get killed against a fully built V8

@amyntage trans am are useless on a track especally a heavy v8 id rather have a v6 with some tuning done to it. and it would be faster than a v8 ta

@AngryScottish, Also, with $2,100 i could bump my "handicapped lt1 power" and be pushing 430-480rwhp. Add an extra 3 grand to buy a STS turbo system for the lt1 and i could very well be easily pushing 5-600hp for about.. 5-5.5 grand. But to end this stupid nonsense of talking to such a close minded idiot.. ANY car can be changed to handle on the track or burn rubber on the strip. With enough money anything is possible.

@AngryScottish, while the car makes handling the driver is the other 75% of the pie. You could put the worlds shittiest driver in that crx and he'd most likely crash. Or you could put the worlds best driver in a camaro and he'd run a track like nothing. Personally, i've taken interstate clovers at about 40mph..which isn't really anything to brag about since tracks are alot steeper of curves.

@amyntage you can keep posting comments... or you can man up, put your ill-handling camaro coupled with an underperforming LT1 on a road course, get a video of it... and post it up.

For the record, I really like LS1 powered cars... make great power with little investment. but, you got the handicapped LT1 powered car. Enjoy being second best at everything.

@AngryScottish, also where do you pull performance out of 'bodystyle' ? I realised that the ls1 is better performance wise...kinda stupid if you ask me. and ofc the v6 2010 camaro will be faster..it should be with 16 years of engine advancement on it.. really just made yourself sound stupid.

@AngryScottish, Also nice generalization. But just FYI, i shave my head bald. Unlike ricers i really don't feel like spending 3 hours a day gelling and taking girl care of my hair. How's the 6" lifted spoiler and the 4" exhaust? Oh can't forget the most import mod of your car now! hows that sticker that adds 30 hp???? I think you should upgrade it.. get a sticker that will boost your hp by 60. Oh! don't forget your whistle mod now! gotta make people think you're car is turbo'd !

@AngryScottish, hmm.. sell car for $5,000.. spend $34,000 on a new camaro... OR take the other $29,000 and make my car have 700+ hp..hmm.. Actually while i drive this car pretty much every day it wasn't intended as a daily driver... have a 94 ford pos that i wanted to drive everyday.. but i ain't gonna drive in shit when i have the camaro. And personally i think driving a CRX is brave.. that shit is just plain ugly as a mother fuck.

@amyntage So you like the almighty power of 275hp in a lightweight 3500lbs! Maybe you should join 2010. Sell that hunk of crap and get the 2010 Camaro V6... it's faster than a LT1 right out of the box. Significantly better looking, better handling...just better.

For the record, I chose a CRX as a second car to race. You opted for a LT1 powered boat as a daily driver? eek. You're brave. How's the mullet?

@AngryScottish, Why is it you get all offensive when i point out the camaro is possibly a v6? Take it i'm right about it and it is a v6 and you try posting false videos saying it's a ls1 powered SS?? Maybe i can do the same.. here let me go buy a vid camera, find a 1995 lambo kit car, race it, win and post a video saying it's a real lambo.
