Purple Patch confessions preview

My father passed away in October and I was looking for anything to help me escape. Being a hopeless romantic I went online and found every 2 woman romance possible. I went through all the spanish series (and walked around the office saying "Vale" for a month or so) and then I happend upon Otalia. Not only was it in English but it was American and a soap opera? How could I have missed this.

So I started catching up. (thanks to Destini and Otaliafans) Then I set my DVR and one day while I was drying my hair the DVR must have switched the channel on my daughter (who was watching the Disney channel when I went in) and I came out to find her watching a scene with Emma and my daughter said, "She has 2 mommies like me!" This one small sentence brought my appreciation to a whole new level. I suddenly really wanted to do my part.

I called my son-by-choice Sam Maxwell and asked for his help to shoot a video response to show why Guiding Light was important to me. We had been going through a rough patch but he agreed to help. I showed him my premise and why it was important and we began to talk because, Sam was 8 years old (he is now 24) when his mother and I moved in together "as friends" and then became more.

Now we are working on my addiction together. So not only has Guiding light helped me through my grief, and inspired me to be a part of something, it has given me back a relationship with my son. I am truly grateful and totally ADDICTED

Finally I watched & re-watched great videos again!

As stated before, it's hilarious and at the same time heartfelt and reflects so well how Otalia has affected our lives in both a good and inspiring way and at the same time in a utterly addictive and slighty out of control way (I added the 'slightly' merely to feel better about my 'investment', lol).

I laughed my head off at the 'u r a vassar grad for christ sake!' comment, cause that's pretty much the same thing I scream at myself when I'm obessing 2 much, LMAO

Beautiful video. Absolutely wonderful. Light-hearted, but with the heartfelt message that so many of us can identify with. We have become a uniquely accepting and warm community, brought together by the love between these characters.
