Extra Call Out for Tomorrow Demo. Tonight the police crossed another line. In a long succession of curbing the rights of protesters, the Utrecht police joined ranks with other police squads by violating the protesters' rights. [[After very violent police repression and injuring of our comrades, we call on everyone with increased urgency to join the demo tomorrow at 12.00 in Utrecht against the Kraakverbod. We need you all!


From the beginning of the protest the police was very repressive and wanted to minimize the protesters' actions. At first there was no sound aloud. Torches were not allowed either, only at certain streets. The protesters even agreed to these restrictions, but the police kept on pushing.

At the Vrouwe Justitiaplein, when demo was about to end, the police wanted to force the protesters to turn off the sound system, which wasn't very loud at that moment. The protesters were about the leave and wanted to walk back to the center to end the demonstration in a peaceful way.

At that point 10 to 20 police men jumped on the wagon (bakfiets) with the sound system and started hitting the people around it. Many people got hit by police bats. During the confusion that ensued, two police horses rode through the protesters, and injured some people. One police woman forced her horse unto some stairs, after which the horse fell on its side.

The group was split in two, but we regrouped around the corner. The police kept on following and pushing us. On the other side of the street we saw the police driving away with the wagon (bakfiets) with sound system: "Fietsendieven"! The group was walking back to the center and because of the police violence the group was shouting " No Justice, No Peace, Fuck the Police!" which the police apparently didn't like.

At Neude the many police officers and secret cops arrested another person from the back of the crowd. The group ran back towards the arrested comrade, but there was too much police for us to rescue him. Then the group was attacked again, and another person (who was accused of throwing something) was arrested. The people who carried the coffin were attacked by the police and took some blows. Police with dogs chased the rest of the group away.

The remaining group of people walked to the ACU, where around 8 secret cops "waited" for us but quickly walked away from the other side of the street.

We want to end with a note of advice to the young comrades at the demo, some of whom seemed to be a bit inexperienced. When the group was attacked and tried to regroup, many people were walking around as individuals; some in between police, some on the other side of the road, and all with big gaps in between the protesters. This highly increased the risk of more arrests. We don't blame our comrades, but hope they might learn from this experience and don't take this as negative criticism. We know the situation was chaotic and people might panic at such a moment. But staying closely together and form a compact group is essential at such a moment; don't talk to the police, there is no use in that. Stick together and take care of the comrades; make sure everyone gets home safe. See you tommorow comrades!

Met je poten van andermans eigendom afblijven ... punt uit .... NEXT !

De krakerscene interesseerd me niet zo. Je blijft gewoon met je poten van andermans eigendommen af. Waar ik wel voorstander van ben en ze daarin gelijk geef, is dat huizen moeten worden bewoond. We leven in een dichtbevolkt kutlandje waar geen ruimte hoort te zijn voor dat soort speculatie gesodemieter. Geef woningeigenaren die hun huis te lang leeg hebben staan en waar wachtlijsten zijn een boete. Dit om onredelijke huurprijzen de kop in te drukken (scheelt huursubsidie).

@GlobalAlternateMedia Voorbeeld. De motivatie voor het kraken is kartelvorming binnen de woningmarkt. Ze laten hun huis eindeloos leegstaan in de hoop op een betere prijs. Het punt is dat er dan geen marktwerking is, maar simpelweg bezit. Huizen horen bewoond te worden. Huiseigenaren die niets met hun huis doen, horen het of te verhuren of te verkopen binnen een bepaalde tijd. Doen ze dit niet, dan is er geen sprake van marktwerking en zeg ik beboeten die handel. Maar niet met krakers.

@GlobalAlternateMedia Met "graaien niet" bedoel ik dat marktwerking zoiets afstraft. Zoiets kan niet als er kartel afspraken worden gemaakt.

@GlobalAlternateMedia Omdat ik de overheid wel een noodzakelijk kwaad vind. Anarchisme is zoiets als laat alles maar op z'n loop en van mij mogen er wel bepaalde spelregels bestaan. Het tegengaan van kartelprijzen vind ik een belangrijke. Marktwerking hoort voorop te staan als het gaat om het hanteren van systemen, dus ook bij kapitalisme. Plukken mag, graaien niet.

Ik was bezig het Anarchisme te verdedigen niet het Marxisme. Zoals je weet, hoop ik, is het Anarchisme juist tegen de overheid en er niet voor.

En het Anarchisme is geen utopie, het heeft namelijk al diverse keren gewerkt in de (moderne) geschiedenis.

Als je ook tegen het Anarchisme bent, kan je uitleggen waarom?

@GlobalAlternateMedia Ik blijf erbij, dat communisme niet werkt of een Utophie is waar al te makkelijk misbruik van gemaakt kan worden. Never, ever put all your eggs in one basket. Is een oud Engels gezegde. De overheid vind ik een slechte investering. Die koesteren slechts hun ambtelijke zakken en of het ambt er nou toe doet of niet, het zal er zijn.

Het zit zo: volgende de Anarchist wordt eigendom bepaald door gebruik en bezetting, wat dit inhoudt is dat wanneer ik productiemiddelen gebruik (ik heb een belang in de productiemiddelen) dat dit mij rechtmatig eigenaar maakt van de productiemiddelen (met ieder ander die er een belang in heeft).

Een auto, een bed, e.d. zijn persoonlijk eigendom dat iedereen mag hebben. Anarchisten zijn niet tegen persoonlijk eigendom maar tegen privaat eigendom van domein en kapitaal.

Het hele punt is nu juist dat als ik een grondstof omzet naar een commoditie/product dat ik het recht heb op de vruchten van mijn arbeid, maar de kapitalist neemt een deel van deze vrucht. Het is danook zo dat het kapitalisme gestoelt is op de kapitalist die de vruchten van de arbeid van zijn werknemer steelt. Niet met jaloezie te maken maar met uitbuiting. Het is ook fout te veronderstelling dat niemand eigendom mag hebben ... vervolg ...

Ik ben zelf geen Marxist maar een Anarchist. Maar ik denk dat als je elke Marxist vraagt wat hij van Stalin vindt dat deze zal reageren dat Stalin geen communist is. En zoals ik al zei: de definitie van Communisme een een samenleving zonder overheid, geld of sociale klasse, het Oostblok had geld, sociale klasse en een overheid en was dus niet communistisch.

@GlobalAlternateMedia Misschien zijn mensen ook wel weer zo dat hetgeen wat ze bezitten en hard voor gewerkt hebben koesteren. Die anderen vinden dat misschien maar niets en oneerlijk, maakt ze eigenlijk geen reet uit, zolang een ander maar niets bezit. Het hele communisme is gestoeld op jaloezie. Het niet kunnen gunnen dat iemand vruchten plukt na een hard gewerkte dag.
