FYI the damage in this video is due to three creeks not a river. The land we live on has never had any damage to the homes due to the creek breaking its bank. However this time was a different story. Not the smartest bunch of comments. SteelyD what planet are you on?????

@1forestcat , I've yet to see any city that's close to a river not build houses right up to the banks. Medicine Hat is no different. Now buying a house on a flood plane that flooded 5 and 10 years ago like in the Hat, might not be too bright. I bought mine up on the hill.

Poor old Medicine Fat wasn't exactly burdened with too much to offer civilization. I guess they should be grateful...to be the next kayaking, canoeing, and rafting mecca. And mosquito headquarters.
