U r absolutely right. Also he is in a busy to finish of this song...Emotions not completely embed in this song. I wish if some one could have remaked this song and made it much better. Even resinging also could be sufficient.

Pronunciation of Jayachandran in this song is HORRIBLE....!!!! it is noticable when he speaks the word "POLE"... Jayachandran is having so many excellent songs, never mean that all his songs are good.. His songs became excellent after 10 yrs of his career... People loves his songs coz of the tunes & lines more than his way of singing...

Jayachandran's voice texture in those days was greatly different from that in the later years. His voice was lighter and more romantic, which make this song both adorable and memorable.
