  • His queen sac was certainly unsound lmao

  • Personally, I don't ONLY watch your videos to learn about chess. I learn about chess in a myriad of other ways. I watch your videos in large part for the entertainment value of your personality and enjoying having you walkthrough chess games while I'm sitting down having breakfast, and in cases such as these videos like this are just fine. Keep in mind that many people don't come only to learn.

  • Nice response. I agree. You have to be focused no matter what your rating.

  • I think it's fine publishing it adds a bit of variation.

  • I definitely agree with you & that it was a learning experience for me. I paused the video to figure out the check-mate without even taking on the opponent's Queen. KC, you are the best.

  • him leaving his queen like that got a laugh out of me, i didn't even notice it right away, i was too busy calculating the tactics with the knight/bishop idea. tunnel vision right there. I don't have a problem with videos like this, personally.

  • Its silly that his queen was lost, but the knight-bishop threat was interesting to follow.

  • I think it is worth posting every once in a while to remind me to pay attention and not just take everything for granted! GJ KC!

  • Yea Bryson, I'm also glad to see this just doesn't happen to me only as well ;)

I think it was worth posting just for the knight double check mate idea you were thinking about, and it would have been a wonderful queen sac/win. Unfortunately, he sac'd HIS queen!

  • Actually, you might learn not to get tunnel vision on 1 threat since 1 move can have multiple threats.

  • thanks for posting. also, I never thought about castling q-side on the exchange variation.
