Bangladesh battles sexual bullying

In Bangladesh, "eve-teasing" is a somewhat innocent name given to sexual harassment.

But the illegal practice is becoming a greater problem as more girls start to go to school and women work outside the home.

Because of sexual bullying, the school drop out rate is higher than ever.




Nicolas Haque reports from a school in Dhaka. Bangladesh's capital.

To be fair, the guy shown here as a cat caller did not say "those are our girls." He said "did you see me do it?" He might have, he might not. Not sure. But it most definitely happens in Bangladesh. It happens in New York and every other place in the world to. Nowhere is it acceptable.

@shancateyes "a guy cannot resist if a girls cleavage is showing." That is so untrue. 1) Guys CAN resist teasing. Perhaps it's difficult, but they CAN control their words and must take responsibility for their own actions. If they respect women, they will control themselves. 2) I didn't see anything close to cleavage on the women in this video. They were dressed very conservatively, and yet still experienced bullying. What more can women do to avoid it?
