World of chances; chapter 1

Yo there. JonasloverxDD here with a new story.

Demi took a deep breath as she dialed her ex-girlfriend/ex-bestfriend's number.
Her back was pressed to the cold glass of the window in the hotel room she was currently staying in. She was alone, her bodyguard in front of her door. Her mom was out doing something, running some errand, so she had some time before her next concert.
Waiting anxiously for the call tone, she wished that she would get the answering machine.
Her wish was granted.

"Hey this is Selena's cell. Uh, if you're listening to this, then obviously I can't get to the phone right now, so leave a message and I'll try to get back to you. Kay thanks, bye."

She heard the beep. "Alright Demi you can do this." She said to herself.

"Hey Selena, it's Demi. I know you really don't want to hear from me or want me in your life right now after I practically ditched you for my career, but I can't stay like this forever. We can't stay like this. I mean, you were my best friend, and besides for that you were my first love. And I think I still love you. No, I know I still love you. Selena, please call me back. Seriously. I need to talk to you and if you think it'll be hard for you, imagine how I feel. So yeah, anyways, I love you.
I miss you. I need you."

She pressed the 'end' button, cutting off the call.

"C'mon Selly, don't ignore me."

Meanwhile, Selena was on the Wizards of Waverly Place set back in L.A. , extremely far away from Demi, who was now in London, the last destination for her tour.

"You know what Justin, you can't always blame everything on me!"

"Well Alex, I think I have a right to after you've messed up so many times!"

"I--" Selena was cut off by her phone vibrating in her pocket. She snatched it out of her pocket, checking the caller I.D. "Omigod it's Demi!"

"Cut!! Selena what happened?" The director yelled.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I...I..."

"It's okay. Everyone take 5."

David made his way to Selena. "Sel, you okay? You never mess up."

"No, I'm not. Demi called."

David was the one person she told about her and Demi's more-than-friends relationship.

"Oh. Bummer." He said as he pulled her into a hug. "I promise if she messes with you, I'll be right here like your bodyguard."

Being that Selena had no older brother, she relied on David to be just like one.

"Thanks, David."

"Hey, no prob."

"Now c'mon. Focus on this episode."

"Thank you, London!" Demi screamed out to the hundreds of cheering fans crowding the stadium.

After a preformance of here we go again, solo and la la land, she was exausted.

She left the stage, and hurried to her dressing room, checking her messages.
A lot, but nothing important. Nothing regarding Selena.

Her heart sank. She at least wanted to hear her voice.

Selena siged, listening to the last of Demi's voicemail.
"I love you. I miss you. I need you."
