You are absolutely right about JM's delivery of her great song. I'm a pretty tough and often cynical guy, but I can't hear this rendition without weeping, and am not ashamed to admit it:) --

30 years ago my father used to play the Roger Whitaker version..i knew the words but never knew who it was ...today i found the lyrics online and 30 years of memories came crashing in....a true masterpiece as far as music goes....the melody cant be beat...

I heard a version of this song (that may or may not have been performed by her) with an electric guitar. I like it way better, it's not so melancholy, more upbeat and 60's rock. Does anyone know what recording I'm talking about?

In her early days her energy was radiant and her wide bright eyes were simply beautiful. This is one of my favourite Joni songs. Her voice is so unique to her.
