@ShadowyCore: you propably know more than I do, but I'm just quoting really clever people like Arthur C Clarke and the scientist who was consultant on the movie "Sunshine", who has his own audio commentary on the dvd. And according to the latter, there have been accidents, one in a vaacum chamber and one in a wheather balloon, where people have been exposed to vaacum and not harmed at all. Though, he also says you should close your mouth or your toungue will boil. So what about eyes then?

@jussing You might not explode, but your blood would boil in your veins. Astronauts wear spacesuits for the same reason U2 pilots needed to wear pressure suits. Boiling isn't a function of temperature; it's one of pressure. Adding temperature allows a liquid to overcome this pressure difference, but removing any atmosphere accomplishes the same thing.
