Gene Stallings Speaks at Restored Life Benefit for

Saving Grace Home for Women

Daphne, AL — The Christian Life Center of Daphne United Methodist was transformed into an evening of promise, hope and recovery on Thursday evening, December 9, 2010 for the first annual Restored Life event, featuring former University of Alabama Coach Gene Stallings. The event was celebrating the success of Saving Grace Home for Women and spreading awareness about the deadly disease of addiction.

The Honorable Pamela Baschab of Foley was honored for her dedication and hard work to make Saving Grace possible.

Guests were treated to a lavish silent auction featuring more than 80 tempting treats. Items included art, jewelry, spa packages, vacation getaways, children's gifts as well those geared towards the sports-minded individuals. Decadent food and beverage was provided by Mellow Mushroom of Malbis.

The event was hosted by former University of Alabama football player, Roger Schultz. Saving Grace's President of the Board of Directors, Priscilla Condon, thanked former Board members for their service and honored Judge Pamela Baschab. Executive Director Kristin Webb introduced Saving Grace Graduates: Billi Jo Brock and Adrian Lambert. Billi Jo and Adrian spoke to the crowd regarding their personal battles with addiction. Their inspiring and courageous stories left many in the audience teary-eyed.

Coach Gene Stallings gave a powerful testimony, where he encouraged guests to give back and make a difference. "Everyone has been touched by addiction," said Kristin Webb, Executive Director for Saving Grace Home for Women. "Whether it's a friend, family member or a loved one, everyone has been touched in some way."

All funds raised by the gala benefit Saving Grace Home for Women, the only women's residentially substance abuse facility in Baldwin County, as they strive to save lives and celebrate recovery.

The event would not have been possible without the hard work of Terri Allen, event chairman, the committee members, James Allen, Suellen Brazil, Morgan Clayton, Priscilla Condon, Sandra Crews, Jan and Greg Dixon, Beverly Dykes, Rob Gilpin, Al Jacobi, Jeff Stein and Kristin Webb, as well as Denice Knox and the staff of Private Gallery, Daphne UMC, Mellow Mushroom, and generous sponsors, Mellow Mushroom of Foley and Malbis, HRC Medical, Sue and Jeff Stein, Private Gallery, and Corporate Sponsors, International Assurance Inc., Path to Wellness and Vessel Holdings.
