  • im currently looking to buy the ut-61 (c,d or e). Do you have any thoughts/suggestions?

    greetings from snowy austria :)

  • @managarm1349 I've had a quick look at the specs and I would go for the D or E...but the 22000 count on the E would be the route I would go. Cheers from a very warm Cape Town! Thanks for watching and posting.

  • Hi Martin Great review I would really like to see you perform a comparison with the UT71E :)

  • @ollyk22 Thanks for the comment. Yes...the UT71x variants have been on my radar...I'll see if I can get hold of one.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

  • This was a great review. You are very professional, voice is calm and understandable, and I give You a big + for the objectiveness!

Anyhow, it would be nice if You could do a test about true rms. I need a dmm and still wondering whether I should buy an expensive one with true rms measuring or not? I'm a newbie in repairing vintage receivers, and want to know... can we tolerate difference between true rms dmm and regular dmm in these applications? A video test 'bout that? Thanks in advance!

  • @mickosurda Thanks for your comments they are appreciated!

Very good idea, I have never tested the difference between true RMS and a regular DMM so I will certainly do that.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

  • @mjlorton I guess that kind of test could easily drawn attention, and from the scientific point of view, You look very equipped with reference instruments - so we have a good conditions for objective results. I look forward to watch that one, and... in the meanwhile I'll try not to fry anything while relaying on my analog el cheapo Chinese multimeter. :-D

Once again, thank You kindly and greetings from Serbia, Europe!

  • @samgab No problem....glad you noticed it...will get around to that review soon. Thanks for watching.

  • @electrodacus Yes...the store is not looking bad...the loan of the two Flukes helps ;-).

  • @samgab edit... Oh, watched a bit more and you do comment on it. Duh, I should have watched the whole thing, THEN commented :)

  • Just started watching, so maybe you comment on it, but is that a Fluke 28 II I spy on the right hand side? When did you obtain that?

  • The store inventory looks good :).

Uni-T is not bad, not the best but also not the worst they have decent products in my opinion for the price.

  • Really interested in your 381 review!
