  • This is so full of little gems! I've been through it so many times, and keep finding new things to try! The channel trick, the ball you drew to keep track of lighting, and the color experiments.

I would love to see that tutorial on skin. It really is hard to get right, especially starting from black and white. I'll have this beautifully shaded b/w drawing, then cringe and add the dreaded skin color. It's either too saturated, or too gray like death, or something. How do you color it?

  • @Tygerson100

I should do a tutorial just on skin tones. It's not as horrifically difficult as it seems when you're trying to fumble your way through it. There are just a few things to keep in mind that usually make all the difference.

  • Steve Argyle, you make the best artwork. Seriously, it's so good.

Thanks! And now you can see all my dirty little no-longer-secret tricks. :)

That would be amazing! I've messed up skin so many ways, one would think that by random chance something would work!

Your skin tips in this were very helpful. It would be awesome if you eleborated in another tutorial.

  • @SteveArgyleDotCom

Cool. I've got to try to get Photoshop, I've got GIMP, which is a crappy free photoshop knock-off. I was joking, btw, not badmouthing Chandra's art, lol I love that picture, it's the backround to my youtube channel
