Cute baby snow leopard kittens, Gobi (male) and Batu (female) explore the outdoor exhibit at Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo for the first time with their mother, Helen. They are now on view at the zoo, along with male Tom, and female Nadia.

@kutepi4791 With all due respect, zoos are not the problem for a highly endangered animal like the snow leopard. The two posts above you are correct; the issue is their situation in the wild. Snow leopards are killed for their pelts and their bones (part of traditional medicines in some areas) as well as in retaliation for attacks on livestock. Most zoos are a part of the solution for these animals and organizations like the Snow Leopard Trust are even more important.

Just because we evolved into very intelligent species, it doesn't mean that we can do whatever we want to the other animals, we don't have the right to kill these majestic creatures and steal their share of the earth.  Remember we are the reason why some animals are near to extinction. Their life is in our hands...
