The choir rehearses with phenomenal clinician Dr. Sandra Snow. David L. Brunner (the composer) was in the room and shared his inspiration for the piece and gave the students additional insight and direction. He wrote the full orchestration for this specific performance and this was the first time it had been performed for him. The orchestra is from the University of Texas at Austin. This piece is so moving.

  • The orchestra is too overpowering. I can barely hear the singers.

  • Sang in Carnegie with him. Was breathtaking. This has always been my favorite piece of his.

  • Brunner is soooo cool - I met him at District Chorus in Holidayburg and he signed all of his pieces including this one!
