So much for 'Guitar Guru' :) original playing to backing track Running on Faith.
Its been a long time since I put up a bit of me playing the guitar and JUST as I was getting started my skinny E broke on me..and I caught it on camera...Luckily I did have an old skinny E so quicky stuck that on...but I will have to get a new set of strings now...lol
So thought that I would share the moment...well it made me laugh :)
Anyhoo...This is me jamming over a backing track which is called called Running on Faith..which I guess kinda fits, this sad sounding but gentle blues number. I hope you like it and massive apologies for all the bum notes... :)
I was gunna call this Broken Hearted Blues...until my Skinny E went 'ping'...its always the skinny ones...hearts and strings...very weird !!!!!!! But then, everything can be fixed :)

Footnote: the old Skinny E string I put on broke today too (23/01/10)...two strings in two days...things just keep getting weirder and weirder...hmmmm...

  • Hey sixstringbiker Im getting used of the BLUES! lol nah seriously ve been makin shitty wee tunes up on ma acoustic with one string lol bending the strings n that i dont even know what thestrings called all i know its the one above the e string im really ino guitar but not a very quick learner but if i stick in i'll do good

  • @cannabisuser1 :) go you!!! :) the string above the 'e' is the 'b' string, try to play across the strings and keep working hard on those scales we chatted about...it will take time, but its worth it, but practive to a beat or backing track.

    goto guitarbackingtrack

here you will find loads of top tunes to play along to. I know its hard but practice does make perfect, infact I taught some on here on youtube, when I first met her she couldnt play at all, now...well she is most excellent

  • Hey did you make that up yourself? if you did good on you this tune is class mate and if you didnt still good on you for paying this great peice of music

  • @cannabisuser1 :) thanks once again for your comments. the backing track is from a song called running on faith by eric clapton. Eric clapton plays some very slow slid blues during this song. I dont play slid guitsr so I simply jammed over the backing track with my own soloing that I made up as went along. So other thank the backing its all my own arrangment :) :)

  • @sixstringbiker I will liste to your advice friend getting a eletric just shortly! :)

  • @cannabisuser1 :) hello and thants for the comment...3 strings broken eh...hope not all at the same time :) ok to play like me on my vid, practice your scales to a metronome or a click track, start slowly an build speed gradually. I would recommend three scales over two octaves, blues scale, major scale and relevent minor scale, and also practice picking consistantly up and down with alternative notes, its really good for building speed. good luck and take your time :)

  • maaaaaaateee show me how man fuck sake that great i have an acoustic and ive broke 3 strings allready but i want to get an ellectric and play like that
