Some eposodes of this show and of the Twilight Zone scared the life out of me when I was I kid.

Kennedys assassination happened on a Friday during the day ( afternoon) and The Outer limits was airing on Monday nights in Nov. 1963. Also Nightmare originally aired on Dec. 2 1963, a Monday night.

Outer limits put more money into having a monster in every show and wanted to scare the viewer more than Twilight Zone which was more storyline based and more clever. The music was also more dramatic and added to the feel of the show better in the Outer Limits.

Hardly. Kids were active back before the internet and went out to play.
