No. The dissolved product will be biodegraded and the end product will either be CO2 or methane - so nothing will really be accomplished.
My challenge is to convert CO2 into ordinary plastic which is non biodegradable - that is the only way to remove CO2 from the environment permanently. Such plastic could be use in landfill areas without the fear of decomposing.

Thanks for the comment. The bag dissolves harmlessly into completely non-toxic substances.

I love it!

Part 2
...do not get hot enough - for long enough. I wonder about the ink residues.
For those trying for personal zero waste by composting etc, these products won't break down well in your garden heap (maybe in a wormery?).
Ultimately, the LCAs (Life Cycle Analysis) of this type of products' environmental impact will be much improved when the ingredients, processing and transport etc are extracted from renewed sources and powered by renewable energy. A consummation devoutly to be wished.

I write a sustainability blog - "Sustainability and stuff according to Nick Palmer" and my first impulse was No, No, No! What does it dissolve into? How much energy does take to make etc?
I looked at their website harmlesspackaging and have to say that this company probably isn't "greenwashing".
I actually think the rest of their products are probably "better" for the environment than this bag.
These other products need "industrial" composing units to degrade properly. Most garden heaps...
Glad to see you liked it, and great to see someone put it to the test! The bag is only part of the Harmless Packaging Range brought to you by Cyberpac. So if you want to know anymore then please look out for us at harmlesspackagingcouk

Your product is really nice!
i don't know how much is the production cost, if it can be applied to all books' packing (if necessary), it must be great!
